Description for this position:

Status:  Full-time

Wage:  $26.30 per hour

Language:  English

Under the direction of the Administrator/Designate, the Registered Health Care Assistant (HCA) is responsible for providing personal care services to the residents of Heritage House Assisted Living residence in accordance with the organization’s values, vision/mission, and strategic direction.

Interested candidates must have the following:

  • Registered with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Workers Registry. Home support/care aide certification from an accredited educational institution.

  • Successfully pass a Criminal Record Check.

  • Current CPR & First Aid certification.

  • Food Safe Certification

  • Exercise excellent communication skills by demonstrating tact, diplomacy, empathy, patience and concern in providing quality service.

  • A good command of the English language, both oral and written.

 

Job duties include:

  • Personal care and medication administration

  • Other duties as required
